Strategic advisory for founders and executives who are working harder than ever and still not sure the business is built for what's next. You're not sure why, and that's exactly the question we're built to answer.
"Her undeniable gift for observing a situation and identifying real solutions that play to a person's strengths sets her apart."
— Kari Miskit, Chief Operations Officer, Visit SacramentoYou built something real. And somewhere along the way, it started requiring you to be everywhere at once just to keep moving.
You've told yourself your leaders need to step up. Maybe they do. But most founders in this position are only treating the symptom, because that's what surfaces, and it's usually all they have capacity for. There's rarely time to dig in. And when there is, you may not have the clarity in the moment to see what's underneath: ambiguity, conflicting priorities, decision rights nobody defined, a lack of process or alignment. Usually it's more than one.
You don't need another framework you'll never open again. You need someone who has been inside the room, seen the pattern, and can tell you the truth about what's actually broken.
The business doesn't move without me.You keep getting pulled back into the day-to-day, away from the strategic work that actually moves things forward. You've quietly wondered: is it me, or is it them?
My vision isn't getting executed. Is it people? Clarity? Alignment? Structure? We dig beneath the surface to find out, and solving the right problem usually clears out a lot of the annoying ones that keep landing on your desk.
I'm lonely at the top.You need a strategic partner to think with, not another vendor waiting on direction, or a direct report telling you what you want to hear.
This is the lens behind everything, whether we start with a full Diagnostic or go straight into Advisory. Four dimensions that surface exactly what's missing before another dollar or another hire gets committed to the wrong thing.
How are the entities, teams, and decisions organized? Does accountability actually match authority?
Who do you actually need, and when? Full-time, contracted, or vendor-led, sequenced so nothing gets committed prematurely.
What infrastructure has to exist before you can scale, operationally, technologically, and relationally?
What does excellent look like for this organization, and who defines it? The filter for every future hire and investment.
A focused engagement to map your foundation, surface what's missing, and sequence what needs to happen first. Built for founders navigating growth, complexity, or a build-from-scratch moment.
A retained strategic partner for founders and C-suite leaders who need a trusted sounding board, not another consultant waiting for direction. For when the work isn't a project, it's a standing seat at the table.
A Diagnostic often surfaces project-based needs, leadership training, team offsites, sales kickoffs, or organizational realignment. That work is available too, folded into an ongoing partnership.

"I use Stacey's words often around how to handle a leader not doing the job we expected. Shifting my mindset to acknowledge that it isn't a matter of if they can do the work, but that they won't, reframed everything. Having that discussion gave me the confidence to make a change, and their former team is now thriving."
"Stacey talks about truly how to focus on the individual, and it's already impacted my relationships with my teams."
"Stacey is the epitome of a strategic leader who has the wherewithal to grow business in a challenging environment. Anyone getting guidance from Stacey is learning from a pro who has done it."
"Stacey's ability to inspire and challenge me to think bigger has left a lasting impact, influencing my journey as I built my own business."
Before founding SK Collective, I spent 20+ years leading from the inside at Audacy, the nation's second largest audio media company, climbing the ladder with four promotions in eight years, all the way to the executive table as Regional VP. I scaled organizations up and rebuilt them when the model stopped working, through acquisition, restructuring, union contract negotiations, and multi-million dollar sports partnerships. I didn't study disruption. I survived it, led through it, and eventually learned to design for it. Since then, I've advised hundreds of companies of every size, from SMBs to Fortune 500s, across industries from HVAC to healthcare, travel to tech.
I live by Brené Brown's "clear is kind": the kindest thing I can do for you is tell you the truth. A little more about me: pretty much straight out of central casting as a high-achieving, first-born daughter, Aries, Enneagram 8 driver. Need I say more? I'm all in on family time, live music, sports, and travel, mom to two teenage daughters and two kids with fur, based just outside Sacramento.
I've lived the gap I now help close, the capacity to think strategically, the clarity to lead well, the ability to stay culturally engaged while everything is on fire. I didn't have a trusted thought partner to bounce it off of. When I looked around, a lot of the leaders I respected most were in the exact same position.
I built SK Collective to be led by someone who has actually run a business, not just studied one. This is for leaders who want a partner who treats the ailment, not just manages the symptoms overwhelming them and their teams.
This was never meant to be a one-woman show. Depending on what a project actually needs, I bring in strategic partners, specialists in their own right, to make sure the outcome is built by the person best equipped to deliver it, not just by me.
This only works if you're open to your own growth, because the growth of your company is directly tied to the growth of its leader. It's a continuous journey, not a destination. The more you raise your own ceiling, the more you raise the ceiling around you. A rising tide lifts all boats.
Too many founders surround themselves with people who agree with them, and it costs them in bad decisions and bad hires. I'm the person who tells you what you need to hear, even when it's uncomfortable, even if it puts me out of a job.
Symptoms aren't the problem, they're just where it hurts. My job is to find what's actually broken underneath, structure, staffing, systems, or standards, and fix that instead of treating whatever is loudest.
I don't have all the answers, and I shouldn't. When a project calls for a specialist I'm not, I bring one in. The outcome matters more than being the one who does all of it.
